1. Impact on Foam Sofas
Foam with added fillers: Initially feels firm and rigid, but after two weeks to a few months of use, the seating area sags and fails to spring back. Additionally, fine powder may shed from the seams or the underside of the sofa, and the seat cushion quickly loses its firmness, becoming soft and collapsed.
Foam without added fillers: Offers a seating experience characterized by excellent body-contouring support; the foam quickly recovers its shape after repeated compression, maintaining its supportive qualities for years.
2. Impact on Tri-fold Foam Mattresses
Powder-filled foam: Tri-fold mattresses require frequent folding and compression for storage. The internal cell walls of powder-filled foam are weakened by the incorporated powder particles, making the fold lines highly susceptible to cracking or snapping. When shipped via vacuum-sealed roll-packing, these mattresses often fail to rebound fully at the edges after unpacking, and the overall thickness falls short of specifications.
Non-powder-filled foam: Offers excellent resistance to folding fatigue, with fold lines capable of withstanding thousands of folding cycles; after vacuum compression and packaging, the mattress perfectly regains its original shape within minutes of being unpacked.
