Maintenance on Wood Furniture

Daily Cleaning
Regular Wiping: Wipe the furniture surface regularly with a soft, dry cloth or pure cotton to remove dust and stains. Avoid using damp or overly abrasive cloths, as these may scratch the surface or leave watermarks.
Avoid Scratching: During cleaning and daily use, avoid direct contact between metal objects or sharp objects to prevent scratching the paint and wood grain.
Environmental Control
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause wood to fade. It is recommended to install blackout curtains or blinds and keep solid wood furniture out of direct sunlight.
Avoid Heat Sources: Keep solid wood furniture away from heat sources such as radiators and stoves, at least 1 meter away, to prevent temperature fluctuations and warping.
Appropriate Placement and Usage
Stable Placement: Ensure the furniture is stable to avoid shaking or tipping. If the floor is uneven, use small pieces of wood to level it for stability.
Avoid Heavy Pressure: Avoid placing heavy objects on solid wood furniture for extended periods of time, as this may cause the furniture to warp. Special Case Handling
Water Marks: Water marks usually take some time to disappear. If they persist after a month, rub them with a clean white cloth lightly coated with vegetable oil or mayonnaise, moving in the direction of the wood grain.
Burn Marks: Rub directly in the direction of the wood grain with a dry, ultra-fine steel wool pad designed for furniture painting. Alternatively, apply vegetable oil or mayonnaise to the burn mark and gently rub in the direction of the wood grain. Wipe clean with a clean, soft cloth and finish with a polish.
